A short tour of the Cyberport facility was held after the workshop.

The 3 participating students and Brian Chung (5C) are going to join a competition called Inter-School Innovation Competition on Insurance Technology to develop an App that combines insurance services with technological innovations.

Guests from EDB

On 3rd October 2018, we received guests from the Education Bureau. They were external reviewers to inspect the daily operation of the school. After Mr. Iu introduced them to the students during the morning assembly, they began their work and would be staying with us until 12th Oct. Let’s be nice hosts and extend our warm welcome to our guests.

National Flag Raising Ceremony 2018

As a tribute to the National Day celebrating the establishment of the People’s Republic of China, the school conducted the annual National Flag Raising Ceremony during the morning assembly on 28th September 2018. In his speech, Principal Mr. Iu reminded us not to fall into the false binary that pit the Hongkonger identity against the Chinese identity. That we could both be Hongkongers and Chinese at the same time. Trying to deny our historical and cultural root due to feeling was unwise. After the principal’s address, the flag raising ceremony proceeded solemnly with our Scout representatives as the flag guards.

Reading Club Gathering

On 27th September 2018, thirteen book lovers from different classes enjoyed a relaxing yet inspiring after-school time at the Reading Room, taking part in the very first Reading Club gathering organized by the School Library. The Reading Club aims at connecting passionate readers from different classes and providing a platform for them to exchange ideas and spread the love of reading.

The theme of the first gathering was about herbal tea, an important part of our cultural heritage. Participants did not only learn about the names and functions of different teas, but also had an opportunity to taste them one by one! Of course, they were also introduced to the new purchases of our library on Hong Kong’s cultural heritage, including 《我哋涼茶係正嘢》, 《再會老行業》and《我們的舊課本2: 讀書好時光》.

We hope the Reading Club can remind our boys that there is not only knowledge in reading but also joy! If you wish to join the reading club, please feel free to contact our School Librarian, Ms. Leung.
