SFXC60 Logo

Our 60th anniversary celebration will take place this December and the logo for the anniversary has been finalized.

Marking the 60th anniversary of St. Francis Xavier’s College, the number “60” portrays the mathematical symbol of infinity and conveys the message of an infinite and everlasting pursuit of passing on knowledge and Catholicism to the next generation in the way of the Marists. The colours and diagonal pattern used in the logo represent the tone of the school tie that Xaverians wear to school every day.

Students and teachers are diligently preparing a series of activities of the theme “In the Way of the Marists” to be organized throughout the year. We all are looking forward to the grand occasion.

Halloween Haunted House

In preparing for the Halloween Party on Saturday 1st November 2014, about 120 student helpers vigorously decorated 9 classrooms the evening before and turned them into haunted houses. Spookiness immediately filled the atmosphere when F.1 students entered the school that evening as scary music was being played to enhance the ghostly ambiance of the festival.

Creepy haunted houses and other Halloween activities sure gave the students a ghastly night to remember!

Whole-school English Activity - Halloween

The English Ambassadors had a frightfully good time writing and colouring ghastly Halloween messages which will be on display on the school campus. The Ambassadors did a bloodcurdlingly good job of writing what Halloween meant to them personally and what they would be doing over Halloween; on paper bats, pumpkins, ghosts and Frankenstein monsters. There were messages of terror and of humour to describe the festival and some which could make you scream and howl - perhaps with both laughter and/or with fear. After pinning the messages to the board the English Ambassadors were rewarded with the option of having a “trick” or (healthy) “treat” – some brave souls even chose a trick! Happy Halloween!
