To understand the principles of chemical waste treatment in Hong Kong, F.5 Chemistry students visited Ecospace Ltd, a Chemical Waste Treatment Centre, on 19th March 2014.
The students were given a tour of the factory and a presentation of the modern chemical technology in controlling chemical waste which further enriched their knowledge on waste management.
“The Red Dragon” was narrated by F.1 students in the Inter-school English Reader’s Theatre Competition. They all gave their best performance and played their voice enthusiastically.
Their diligence earned them rounds of applause from the audience!
This morning, Principal Iu presented certificates and medals to the winners of the HKCEO 1st Inter-school Orienteering Championships Series and the Inter-school Orienteering Championships 2013-2014.
In the competitions organised by the Hong Kong Community of Education in Orienteering (HKCEO), our junior boys were both the 1st runner-up and the Champion in the Junior Secondary School Boys’ Team Event. For the Senior Secondary School Boys’ Team Event, our students were the 2nd and 3rd runners-up. Our orienteering team also got the Best Performance Award.
As for the Inter-school Orienteering Championships 2013-2014, our senior form boy was the 1st runner-up in the Boys A Grade (Individual) and our orienteering team members were the 2nd runner-up in the overall result of the Boys A Grade Competition.
The second phase of the SFXC & SFXS Student Exchange Programme 2013-2014 started from March 10 to March 14.
On March 10, six F.5 students from SFXS, namely LI HOI HI (李鎧軒), LUI KAI HIM (吕嘉軒), LUK CHUN HIM (陸峻軒), MA SHUI SHING (馬瑞成), SHER CHUN HIM (佘浚謙) and YIN YIP CHUN (邢益臻), came to our school to attend lessons and experience the one-week school life at SFXC.
We are glad that the exchange students in both schools enjoyed their stay at the other school and hope they have learnt much from the experience.
