Inspiring Journeys: Mr. Eric Chiu's Reflections on Construction and Lifelong Learning

On March 25th, after school, we hosted an inspiring talk delivered by our distinguished alumnus, Mr. Chiu Kam Kun Eric, a graduate of the Class of 1976. Mr. Chiu is a renowned expert in the field of civil engineering, and his company primarily focuses on bridges and other infrastructure projects.

During the talk, Mr. Chiu shared his lifelong learning journey and aspirations, drawing from his extensive experience in bridge construction, with a particular focus on the flyover near V Walk in Sham Shui Po.

Our boys were deeply impressed by Mr. Chiu’s determination to acquire diverse qualifications—ranging from engineering to a law degree—to fulfill his professional responsibilities. His dedication and deep respect for the various roles within the construction industry left a lasting impression, inspiring and motivating our students.

The talk was part of the Dreamcatchers Programme, an award scheme that encourages our students to broaden their horizons and gain valuable insights into career and professional development through participating in a wide range of talks, visits, and experiential learning activities.
