Representatives from the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) of Taiwan recently paid us a visit on 1st November 2018. There were here to introduce the education system and study pathways in Taiwan, and the prospects of studying in NCKU to our F.6 students. Being one of the top universities in Taiwan, the information its representatives brought sure opened the eyes of our boys to new opportunities.
On 1st November 2018, our school’s Red Cross Service Team co-organized the Blood Drive 2018 successfully with Hong Kong Red Cross. 27 students and staff members volunteered as donors. The school would like to thank the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service Team, all the student helpers and all the kind-hearted donors. You actions might have saved lives and caused impacts that far exceed your original kind intentions.
For their exceptional performance in the DSE, four of our graduates received the HKUST Dean of Engineering Scholarship when entering their undergraduate studies in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The awardees were: FAN Jing Yang, NG Wing Hong, TSANG Lik Hang and WONG Tsz Hei. In the presences of their teachers and our principal Mr. Iu, they received their scholarship in a celebration ceremony on 30th October 2018. Congratulations!
The F.4 Parents Gathering was held on Saturday, 27th October 2018. 105 parents attended the function.
Following the opening speech by our principal, our vice-principal gave a briefing concerning the assessments under senior secondary curriculum. The head of our Career Guidance Committee then informed the parents about the different pathways the students could choose after their graduation. Afterwards, a sharing session was conducted by a guest speaker, Mr. Kinder Lee, an experienced social worker. He shared some tips on what parents could do to help their son overcome study stress. Most of the parents found the event informative and helpful.
The event was concluded with a meeting between parents and form teachers. The feedback from the parents showed that the event was very successful and conducive towards bridging communications between the school and our F.4 parents.
