English learning came to life on the streets of Wan Chai! On 23 October 2026, our new Native-speaking English Teacher (NET), Mr. Oscar, led 11 F.4 and F.5 students, most of whom were English Ambassadors, on the “Wan Chai Haunted Tour” organised by St. James’ Settlement at the Blue House.
Led by a professional docent, the boys explored the district from Southern Playground to Nam Koo Terrace, passing East Town Building, St. Francis Street and the Sun Street, Moon Street and Star Street area along the way.
Through the docent’s lively storytelling in English, students discovered local beliefs, folk tales and urban legends while learning about the history and character of Wan Chai.
The tour gave our boys a valuable opportunity to experience English beyond the classroom, build their confidence in using the language in real-life settings, and develop a deeper appreciation of Hong Kong’s local history, culture and heritage.
