This momentous occasion was shared not only by our proud F.6 graduates, but also by their families and dedicated teachers, who gathered to celebrate their remarkable achievements.

As our graduates now embark on their next journey, we wish them every success and fulfillment in all their endeavors. May God guide their steps, and may they always cherish their identity as proud Xaverians.

70th Anniversary Alumni Sharing: Passing the Torch of Student Leadership

In a memorable event marking our school’s 70th Anniversary, three generations of distinguished school leaders returned to inspire current students. Mr. Cheung Pak Lun (Class of 1996), Mr. Fok Lik Hang Larry (Class of 2009), and Mr. Man Chun Kit Jack (Class of 2017), captivated our Form 4 students with first-hand accounts of the Student Union’s transformative journey over the past 30 years.

The speakers highlighted how the Student Union’s core values—leadership, collaboration, and service—have shaped both the school and their own personal and professional growth. Aimed particularly at our Form 4 students, they demonstrated how participation in student governance cultivates essential life skills, sharing personal anecdotes of challenges overcome and friendships forged through shared purpose.

This meaningful dialogue between past and present embodied the enduring spirit of our school—Brotherhood—showcasing how alumni continue to uplift and inspire new generations. As we celebrate seven decades of excellence, such connections remind us that our school’s greatest strength lies in its people—past, present, and future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these outstanding alumni for giving back to their Alma Mater. Their continued dedication truly exemplifies the spirit we celebrate in our 70th year.

Alumni Sharing Session– “The Way of the Director” with Mr Cheang Pou Soi

On 26 April 2025, St. Francis Xavier’s College was honoured to welcome back our distinguished alumnus, Mr Cheang Pou Soi (鄭保瑞), an acclaimed film director.

In a special Alumni Sharing Session titled “The Way of the Director”, Mr Cheang spoke candidly to current students about his journey in the world of acting and filmmaking. He reflected on the challenges he faced, the choices he made, and the values that have guided him throughout his career. One of the most moving elements of his talk was his emphasis on the importance of brotherhood, perseverance, and the deep sense of belonging he continues to feel as a member of the SFXC family.

As a token of appreciation and admiration, Mr Wayne Lau (Class of 1990), Chairman of the SFXC Alumni Association and a classmate of Mr Cheang, presented him with a meaningful gift — a painting he created himself. The artwork incorporates words of wisdom from the Laughing Buddha, praising Mr Cheang’s determination and persistence, which have led to the remarkable success he enjoys today.

English Ambassadors Explore Nature and Culture at Dr. Rey’s Farm

On 26th April 2025, the English Ambassadors enjoyed a fun and meaningful outing to Dr. Rey’s Farm, a countryside retreat owned by Dr. Rey, our school’s Native-speaking English Teacher (NET). The day offered students a chance to practise English in real-life situations while building teamwork, exploring culture, and connecting with nature.

The trip began with group games conducted in English, encouraging students to collaborate, share ideas, and solve problems—boosting their confidence and communication skills in a relaxed setting.

After the games, everyone gathered for a classic American-style BBQ, featuring hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by Ambassador 2B Aiden Kong, along with corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, and other tasty sides. The meal gave students a taste of American culture and a chance to chat in English in a casual, social environment.

The highlight of the day was the farming workshop, where students learned about sustainable agriculture and planted vegetables like eggplants, cucumbers, and corn. The session was conducted in English, giving students a chance to use the language while learning by doing.

More than just a day out, the trip helped students disconnect from city life, gain new skills, and use English in meaningful ways.
